What does the Groom Pay for?

September 15th 2009 18:23
Sometimes it is a matter of opinion when it comes to who pays for what. Nothing is ever written in stone for any wedding. Lots of couples are paying for their entire wedding these days with no ones help.

The wedding bands- The wedding bands should be paid for by the groom or at least the Bride’s wedding band should be. They can be chosen together. The minister or pastor should be paid their fee by the groom. This should be planned ahead of time and enveloped. The soloist, gifts for the ushers, and the ring bearer are all the grooms job to pay for.

Rehearsal dinner – The groom in most cases, pays for all of the rehearsal dinner.

Brides flowers- The groom should pay for his Bride’s flowers as a romantic gesture.

Brides corsage – This corsage is for after the wedding ceremony.Gift for Bride- Some grooms will purchase a small gift for the Bride. It is a very sweet gesture and quite traditional

Honeymoon- The honeymoon should be planned together as a couple but traditionally is paid by the groom. This is his special adventure for his Bride and himself.
It is a token of his love for his new Bride.

Transportation when leaving the reception- These days the Bride and Groom leave their reception in style in lots of weddings. There are lots of different ways to exit the reception, such as, horse drawn carriage, limousine, and classic car.

His tuxedo- The groom should pay for the rental or cost of his own tuxedo. These days, each groomsmen or usher in most cases, pays for their own wedding attire.

Boutonnieres for groomsmen- This is another cost the groom will need to cover for his groomsmen.
