Your Wedding: Make it Sweet

October 27th 2010 01:34
If you want your wedding to be the sweetest wedding it’s such an easy task. The reception is the place to do this. Everyone loves sweets and its easy to fill your wedding with the aroma of this.

Starting with the reception tables, not only can you give your guests a sweet little favor which is traditional, but you can have sweet centerpieces at each table. Make the centerpieces edible. You can make this a chocolate centerpiece, candy centerpiece or even edible fruit centerpiece. This is a nice attraction the guests can pick at before dinner as they chat. This is especially nice if it is a sit down dinner. You can use Styrofoam which you can find in craft stores and fix unwrapped candy to a tree shape or even heart shaped wreaths. If you cover the Styrofoam with foil or designer tissue paper to match your wedding it will look better as the guests remove the candy. You can use colored toothpicks to keep candy in place. Types of candy to use are Hershey kisses, gumdrops and various soft candies. You could even design your own chocolate bouquets but this would take some time. If you don’t want to do this yourself you can hire someone to do the centerpieces for you as well.

If you are using a lot of chocolate items at your wedding, don’t forget to shake it up a bit by using various colors or by using white chocolate as well.

Besides the main attraction wedding cake, some fancy to the idea of a dessert table. It’s nice to have tiers of cookies to snack on. You may want to have various confections at this table as well.
As the secondary main attraction, you may want to consider having a chocolate fountain. This has become a very popular event at Wedding receptions. This may even require a table by itself if you have a large wedding. There are so many variations to this item. You can rent your chocolate fountain or buy one yourself.

It is much cheaper to rent a chocolate fountain if you want to save the money. You will have to get the right size according to how many guests you have. Supplies can be pricey so it’s better to save some on the renting rather then buying this item. The chocolate fountain will surely make your wedding sweet as the aroma of chocolate fills the entire reception.
Use your imagination when choosing dipping foods for your chocolate fountain. Some good ones are fruits, such as strawberries, apples, grapes and pears. Don’t use bananas as they will brown. Other items of interest may be marshmallows, vanilla wafers, pretzels, animal crackers and graham crackers.
The variations you can choose from to make your wedding sweet are numerous. Your guests will walk away with the sweetest memory of your wedding.
