July 16th 2010 17:46
If you are in the market for a wedding gown and have been wondering where to begin, you’ve come to the right place.
Be sure to call the planned bridal shops you want to visit ahead of time as most require appointments especially on weekends when they are packed.
First thing to remember is that you should always take your time for such a big decision as a gown that you will wear that will you put you as the center of attention for a whole day! Choose your gown wisely. Plan to bring with you only your closest family and friend members who will be honest with you to help you choose the gown. Plan to try on several different styles of gowns. You may be surprised how different and wonderful they look on you.
Try to avoid buying your gown from a Bridal shop that is going out of business. It is doubtless they will care or may not even be around if you have a problem when you need them. It could be a nightmare.
You should plan to order your gown at least 6 months in advance to give yourself plenty of time. You will need possible hemming or altering. There may be some minor repairs like loose beads or sequins. Check your gown over with a fine tooth when it comes in, do not expect the bridal shop to do it. They will usually press it free of charge before the wedding for you.
Always choose your gown first and then your veil. Your shoes will be the last thing you will decide.
