Perfume that Compliments your Wedding Flowers

August 31st 2009 23:53
You may not have thought of this little detail for your wedding but the perfume you wear is important. It may not compliment the scent of your Wedding flowers and may actually clash with them. You may want to let your flowers be the lead in scents for the day and go easier on your perfume scent.
The best way to see if they compliment each other is to start early to try to match a scent. Knowing which ones may go together can be a matter of trial and error.
In order to choose you need to know which types of fragrances to choose from:

Floral: Roses, lavender and other flowers

Fresh: Spring scents, with some citrus as well.
Green: light scent
Oriental: This is a spicy scent
Woody: Musky scent

The floral scent is the most popular for weddings. You can also choose a perfume which would match the time of year. For instance, an oriental or Woody perfume scent would be a fall scent. Basically, as long as it seems to match or compliment your particular type of Wedding flower it will be ok. Test it by purchasing a single flower and wearing your perfume. Don’t overdo the perfume. Smell the flower and then the perfume. If after an hour, it doesn’t seem complimentary in scent, choose a new scent of perfume.
