Wedding Earrings You can Make

November 8th 2011 00:49
It is not hard to create an exquisite look for your wedding day that is customized to your style. Designing your own wedding earrings can be exciting and really quite easy to do.
I will show you a pair I made out of crystals from an antique chandelier. You don’t even need that many supplies for this.
This one is for a double crystal earring:
Four small round crystal prisms (about 1 inch each)
Earring hooks
4 jump rings in gold color
You can do these in sterling silver or gold. Craft stores have from the cheaper supplies to much more expensive ones like silver and gold findings.

Opening a jump ring: Use two fine nosed plyers and open ring opposite ways. If you do it this way, you will be able to close the ring completely.
Open two jump rings and join the two crystals by using the hole at the bottom and top of the first two crystals. Close the jump ring as stated above. Repeat for the second set of crystals.
Take the next two jump rings and attach them to the hole at the top or if the metal nail is still in tact, just attach it to the metal nail. Make sure the metal nail is looped so that it will not disconnect.
Before closing the last jump rings hook them into the earring hoop and then close jump rings.

Now you have a Beautiful pair of Earrings!
