Making your own Wedding Decorations

To make your own wedding Decorations you will need to decide on the kind of tables you will be using for the reception first. This will determine how many centerpieces you need for each table at the reception.
For instance, if you’re using round tables that will seat 6 guests to a table, you will divide 6 into how many guests will be coming.
The centerpieces for the reception table are very easy wedding decorations to make.
Here is a suggestion:
You could have fresh flowers which can be quite expensive but why not try candles which are cheaper and more elegant. That’s because with candles, you can create a mood with the reflection of the light.
An easy and inexpensive suggestion to use candles is that you buy a large glass dish or container (I used an over sized clear glass ice cream dish). Fill the dish with water, and put a few drop of blue (or whatever color matches your wedding) food dye in the water. Put colored stones on the bottom. Most of these items you can purchase at the dollar store which will save you a ton of money. I scattered tiny shells around the bottom of the each glass container. I had lots of people donate shells for the wedding as it was a beach wedding.
I purchased floating candles and I bought enough in case they burned out. I actually calculated when they would burn out by asking the store how long they were suppose to burn. I appointed someone to check on the centerpieces and replace them. The candles were actually the most expensive part of the purchase. The total spent on these centerpieces for guests of 75 was around $100. I had oblong tables and place 3 on each table.
The reflection of the light from the candles and the colored stones in the water was incredible! This was my own designed centerpiece, by the way. You are welcome to duplicate it as well as change it to suit your own wedding design as you make your own wedding decorations.
