If you’re looking for a very unique wedding gift to give which will be unforgettable, here is an idea. This gift may take some time and thought but will turn out to be well worth it and very memorable for the Bride and Groom. This is a keepsakes that will always be remembered.
Needed: Photo album, 1 piece of white poster board, hot glue gun, hot glue sticks, 1 yard of material, 1 ˝ yards of lace, quilt batting.
Making a memory album for the Bride and Groom is one of the most beautiful presents you can make. You can do this by buying a large photo album. Purchase about 1 yard of eyelet or silk material in either white or off white. Purchase about 1 ˝ yards of border lace which is at least 1-2 inches wide. Be sure to have a hot glue gun and lots of glue sticks.
Cut your batting to match the entire length of the outside of the album, then glue it to the album. Then cut a piece of material bigger than the album, enough so you can glue it to the inside (a couple of inches glued inside), and have a finished edge.
After the material is in place on the photo album, glue the lace completely around the edge of the photo album continuously. Then glue together the final edges with a small amount of glue.
To finish off the inside covers, purchase poster board in white and measure and cut a piece for the inside front and back. Cover one side with material; bring it to back and
To put a final touch on the front of the album, cut out a shape (heart, oval, square) large enough to hold a photo. Cut the inside out as to make a picture frame. Cut batting for front in same shape. Glue batting on front, glue matching material by covering front and bringing material to back and gluing it. Cut hole in center of it. Cut slashes almost to edge of inside of photo frame. Pull fabric to back of frame and glue to create a finished edge. Glue matching lace on edges, then glue frame to front of photo album only halfway down (on edges) so that a frame can be put through the top.
