Planning a Bachelorette Party

October 11th 2009 12:10
If you are a Maid of Honor or the best friend of the Bride, you may be the one planning the Bachelorette Party for the Bride. Finding ideas that are fresh and new are not always easy for this kind of party. This party need not be a surprise for the Bride like the wedding shower.

Planning the guest list is the first step in planning a Bachelorette party. You may consult the bride on this guest list. She will be your guide to who she wants there.
The date should be the next piece of information that you need to put in place. Make sure this is at the Bride’s convenience.

Determine the location next for your Bachelorette party. The Bachelorette Party can be an overnight party or just for the evening. If you’re planning something overnight, plan a trip that the Bride will be sure to enjoy. An overnight beach trip would be fun or an overnight trip to the Casinos. You could also make it simpler and just do a dinner at a classy restaurant.

Send out invitations a month in advance so there is plenty of time. Be creative if you like and create a theme for the party according to where you’re going. For a Beach theme, you can use Hawaiian decorations or seashells.

Decorations and food should be planned very carefully, considering food allergies if possible.

Tips: The Maid of honor and bridesmaids do not foot the bill for this event. This is an event that everyone pays their own way.
